The Optiform Blue replication fluid material exhibits high dimensional stability and low shrinkage. The free-flowing nature of Optiform Blue minimizes the risk of air entrapment in the replica, and cured replicas are easily sectioned for profile metrology applications.
Optiform Blue is highly suited to both metrology and inspection applications, including thread forms, undercuts, surface characterisation, surface finish, surface fracture, cracks, defects and metallography. invaluable where conventional NDT methods are impractical.
The process is extremely clean and easy to use. Simply apply the Optiform Blue fluid with the dispensing gun and leave for 5 minutes to cure. After this time it will have cured enough to be removed or extracted from the surface. It can then either be inspected or measured as a perfect replica of the original object, or be cut with a sharp blade, enabling profile measurement of the cross section.
