Vertical bench-top profile projector for high- and low-volume production

The Starrett VB400 is a vertical benchtop profile projector designed for precision measurement and quality control inspection. The profile projector is used across a diverse range of industries for high- and low-volume inspection of components including, pressings, plastic mouldings, electronic components and small turned and machined parts.

It has an all-metal construction designed with accuracy and longevity in mind, for use in the workshop or measurement room. The VB400 optical comparator is competitively priced while engineered to Starrett’s renowned mechanical standards for superb all-round capacity and performance.

Slightly larger than the VB300, the Starrett VB400 has a large measuring capacity with a measuring travel of 200m x 100mm on the X-Y axis. The 400mm diameter vertically mounted screen provides high-resolution inspection of industrial components across precision industries.  LED profile lighting and surface illumination are fitted as standard, providing clear, sharp light and outstanding surface image rendition.

It provides a cost-effective solution for non-contact measurement in a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, medical device manufacturing and more. Both flexible and soft parts can be easily inspected with little complexity in the controls.

There is a choice of software, the MetLogix™ or Quadra-Chek® geometric readout systems, screen overlay templates and automatic edge detection creating a metrology solution. 

Optimax engineers install and UKAS-calibrate all our measurement systems. These can also be upgraded to run with Optivu Synergy PC-based software.
