A next-generation digital comparator that modernises traditional profile inspection while keeping the workflow operators already trust.

Built on the proven body and stage platform of Starrett’s legacy comparator systems, the HDV250 retains familiar manual operation and crosshair-based measurement, replacing projection optics and mirrors with a high-resolution digital video camera and integrated LED ring surface illumination. The result is the same crisp silhouette view you’d expect from a traditional optical comparator, with the added ability to clearly inspect features that can’t be backlit.

With 10″ x 4″ of X-Y stage travel and 2″ of Z-axis focus travel, the HDV250 is a compact, shop-floor-ready system, as durable as traditional projection comparators. It remains compatible with existing Starrett comparator stage accessories, making it a straightforward upgrade path for sites already running legacy optical comparators.

Available with MetLogix Mx200 digital readout for a robust, operator-friendly user interface suitable for the shop floor, or M2 software for advanced measurements, part markup and improved export options.
