Vertical bench-top shadowgraph for precision industries 

The Starrett VB300 is a vertical benchtop shadowgraph designed for precision measurement and quality control inspection. It’s used across a diverse range of industries for small light-weight components, pressings, plastic mouldings, electronic components and small turned parts. It is an all-metal construction designed with accuracy and longevity in mind, for use in the workshop or measurement room. 

​​Its modest size compared with the larger VB400, ensures compact quality control rooms can benefit from Starrett’s sophisticated engineering. 

The shadowgraph’s stage has a 100m x 100mm X-Y axis measuring travel with a weight capacity of 5Kg and a high precision workstage of 225 x 225mm with two dovetail slots for easy fixturing. Viewing of part and overlay is via a 300mm diameter screen with precision cross lines, overlay clips and integral hood for its high-resolution display. Bright white light illumination, provided by LED profile and surface illumination, fitted as standard, providing clear, sharp light and outstanding surface image rendition

There is a choice of software, the MetLogix™ or Quadra-Chek® geometric readout systems, screen overlay templates and automatic edge detection creating a complete metrology solution. 

Optimax engineers install and UKAS-calibrate all our measurement systems. These can also be upgraded to run with Optivu Synergy PC-based software.
