Alicona FocusX

The most versatile optical 3D measurement system in its class

The Alicona FocusX is an all-in-one universal optical three-dimensional measuring device that can simultaneously and traceably measure dimension, position, shape and roughness using one optical sensor. It also features “One Click Roughness Measurement” providing simple ISO-compliant roughness measurement.

Using advanced focus variation, and vertical surface profiling it provides high-resolution 3D measurement and detailed surface characterisation in the μm and sub-μm range.

“How do I measure?” to “What do I measure?”  is the core thinking behind MetMaX, the FocusX operating software. This allows users without any metrology knowledge to perform robust measurements set up from CAD and working with Digital Twins to create automated regimes

Adding a rotation device to the Alicona FocusX creates a 5-axis machine , allowing the full geometry measurement of cylindrical products such as cutting tools and fuel injection nozzles.

Application areas commonly in use include Precision Manufacturing, Cutting Tools, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Electroforming, both on the shop floor and in the measurement room

Ideal for small and high precision parts, the FocusX is used within aerospace, automotive and precision manufacturing industries. It’s more compact than the popular Alicona InfiniteFocus G6, but does not compromise on quality and continues to provide exceptional results time and time again.
